Hello, guys welcome back to my blog, today I am going to give you some tips on how to make a professional logo so first of all let me tell you something about the logo and its types.

Simple, it is a graphical art that represents a particular brand and makes your unique identity. According to the logo, there are 7 different types of logos.

Categories

  • Abstract –This type of logo which is drawn randomly but in a different form and output format is a pictorial form. No doubt it looks unique and eye-catching too. The most reputed companies are PEPSI, NIKE, etc.
  • Mascot – Fully cartoonist and colorful which is made by any reference images and that may be related to your company. This is simply made by an illustrated character. One of the best company is KFC.
  • Combination Mark – A combination mark is made through combining the letter, word with the mascot, abstract, etc. PIZZA HUT, ADDIDAS is one of them.
  • Symbolic or Picture – When a designer start work for a logo the first thought comes in mind about the picture or symbolic art that represents the company. Some of the companies are – APPLE, TWITTER, WINDOWS, etc.
  • Emblem – This type of logo is made by text and shape but the important thing is the text surrounded by the shape. This type of logo appears like traditional. Some famous companies are HARLEY DAVIDSON, BMW, etc.
  • Word Mark – It’s a name based logo which is normally used to easily identify the company and maximum companies are preferred this type of the wordmark. Some companies are GOOGLE, YAHOO, etc.
  • Letter Mark – Letter mark is also very common just like the wordmark. This type of logo performed by text.  Some companies are IBM, HBO, AXN, etc.

How to make Logo in Photoshop ?

Now it’s my favorite part so let’s follow these steps given below:

  • Make sure whether it is 2D or 3D style.
  • Collect information from the client means what kind of categories and if the client is confused to say that then show some samples to choose.
  • Understand the nature of requirements.
  • Ask for a color combination for the client.
  • Ask for a vector or raster.
  • Create a blank sketch for the client and if the client agrees with that then go with that.
  • Ask for the size and resolution to the client.
  • Clearly perceive the logo is for printing purposes or web purposes.
  • Format is also important so ask for image format. (.jpeg, .png, .tiff etc.)
  • Then, you can start work with your own creativity.
  • Always keep backup copies of the file.
  • Present three samples of work to the client with your watermark.
  • After finalizing the design create 3 no. of size the same logo. (for web purpose)
