  • Click on a new layer in the layer panel or use (Shortcut Key CTRL+SHIFT+N). Set background-color white and foreground color black.
  • Use (Alt+Backspace) or paint bucket tool to fill the layer color black.

  • Again create a new layer and fill the background color white using (CTRL+Backspace) or paint bucket tool.

  • Then after choosing the white layer and set the blend mode Dissolve and adjust the opacity and fill color 2, 2.

  • Again create a new layer and use the Elliptical Marquee Tool and make a selection and fill the white color. Now if you want to use full moon then it’s ok or if you want to use half-moon then you can use the same tool to cut half part. See the image reference below.

  • Then double click on the moon layer you will get layer style. Choose the outer glow then change the color blue, make sure the opacity is full, blend mode normal, now increase the size as per your requirement.

  • Now the final option is to create a new layer, use the same glow color to your foreground color, then choose a smooth circle brush and increase the brush as per your requirement and click on the moon background.

Your good night picture is ready. Now if you want to write some good night quotes; then you can do this with the help of type tool. But for type tool, you don’t need to create any type of new layer.
